Holy Mackerel
Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 October 2026
Holy Mackerel is an arcade game about a cat, a flying machine and a great many fish. It collects nothing about you.
The short version
- There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Nothing about you, your device or how you play is sent to us or to anyone else.
- Your progress is saved on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account, where only you can see it.
- If you sign in to Game Center, Apple keeps your scores and achievements, under Apple's privacy policy.
- Purchases go through the App Store. We never see who you are or how you paid.
What is stored on your device
Your progress: worlds cleared, stars, scores, coins, upgrades, the fish you have caught, missions, achievements and your settings. It is written to the game's own storage on your iPhone or iPad. It is not read by us, and deleting the game deletes it.
iCloud
If you are signed in to iCloud, the game keeps a copy of your progress in your iCloud account (iCloud key-value storage) so it follows you to your other devices. That copy is stored by Apple in your account. We have no access to it.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, the game sends your scores to its leaderboards and your achievements to your Game Center profile. This is handled by Apple and covered by Apple's privacy policy. You can sign out of Game Center in Settings on your device; the game works the same without it.
Purchases
The full game is a single in-app purchase made through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the game only whether the purchase has been made. We receive no personal or payment information.
Children
The game collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If the game ever starts collecting anything, this page will say what, and why, before it does.
